Hello... and welcome to the web-site of BANANEN-FRED!

We constantly offer fresh products with the best value for money. In the meantime our offer is not only based on bananas but we also sell a great variety of fruits coming from all over the world.

In the second generation, Dirk Radack manages now the Company. He is supported by a young team who represents the company in all fairs, institutional markets and other events.

In our sales program you also can find a great choice of cheese assortments under the brand “KÄSE-FRED”. These products are imported directly from French producers to ensure the exclusive distribution of products you cannot find anywhere else in Germany.

Thank to our excellent relationship with the French Cheese Market we distribute our goods to resellers in Germany and in other neighboring countries as well.

Are you interested? Do not hesitate to contact us or to visit us at one of our events.

We are looking forward to your visit.

BANANEN-FRED is since 1953 a typical establishment firmly related to the „Fischmarkt“ in Hamburg.

In those days its grounder, Fred Radack, used to buy bananas directly from the container ships at the port of Hamburg, let the fruits mature in an old bunker and, once matured, sold them, first on a destructed ground and sometime later on one of the markets which were gradually appearing in the city.

Nowadays our activities do not only turn around this wonderful yellow fruit, though the original sales concept remains unchanged.

Our trucks are overtaken every day but our quality is always in the lead!

With our modern refrigerated lorries and vehicles specialized to any event we guarantee a prompt delivery of highly fresh products.

Moreover, we cooperate with fully reliable suppliers of all kind of related services required to a safe and direct transport to all our customers.
